Dman
Hi I have the standard wheelset found on the inspired fourplay pro 2012, I want to upgrade to hope hubs front and rear, I have been looking for rims and really like the look of Spank rims but can't find any, but I came across these, New Halo SAS, 24", 32 hole, 36mm wide. Are these suitable or am I better off using my inspired rims? Thanks
TK92
Spank Subrosa 24" rims are AMAZING If U can find them, they quit making 24" stuff about 2 yrs ago. I run them now and also have a few pairs on stand by.
Dman
Are subrosa rims 30mm wide? Is that not a bit thin?
isitafox
Yup, Stiffys were the way forward or Spikes if you could get hold of them but I always found Subrosa to be a bit thin
TK92
depends what your using them for for street they work great, pretty much the sale as the Atom labs rims featured on the Skye, for trials I would agree they would be too thin... isitafox
Was street I just found the tyre used to balloon over a lot with the Subrosa
James281098
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SPANK-Tweet-30AL-inch-Colour/dp/B004I9Q7L I don't know if they are correct? But search " 24 spank rims " into Google and quite a lot of sites come up....
Dman
The link doesn't work and I can't find Stiffys available in 24", 32 hole, 40mm wide, anywhere in UK. I have emailed Spank and may have sorted some, I will post the outcome.
isitafox
I'll let you know now, I don't think Spank have any as I emailed them last year and ended up blagging one of the last sets of 24" Spike rims going as they had no Stiffy left. You might be lucky though.

niconj
I know where to get the Stiffies/Spanks/Subrosas for a very good price. It's in Germany though.

Dman
Which are the best in that list?
niconj
I've got the Stiffy Front/Rear. When I bought them they were only 20€ each. 684gr. on my scale. The Spike are 600. Edited January 10, 2014 by niconj
Dman
They are all Spank that's the brand, do you mean the spikes? It will be between the Stiffy 40mm and Spike 35mm, weight is not an issue.
isitafox
Here's a pic of my old Inspired with Spikes fitted if it helps! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/178222-another-pic-of-my-fourplay/?hl=%2Bintended+%2Bgod
niconj
Well... the Stiffy looks very cool. This is my rear wheel.
Dman
I am going to get the Stiffys in Black, with black hope hubs front and rear, black spokes and I'm thinking either purple or titanium nipples if you can get them? What brand spokes black? What brand nipples?

What brand spokes black? What brand nipples? If weight is not an issue, Sapim Strong spokes and Sapim Polyax brass nipples (not in pink though but you won't notice the color anyways). That's how I build up mine and it's superstrong. I weigh almost 90kg and don't have a smooth riding style...
