Theo Sanders
So I've been riding trials for around half a year now, but because I'm in a boarding school I only get to practice on holidays and some weekends so every time I come back home I forget some stuff and have to learn it all over again. Anyways, recently I've been practicing turning around on the rear wheel on narrow obstacles (around 10"), and I found that I can manage it fine only if I am turning clockwise (to the right), but I'm really struggling with the same move done in the opposite direction. Also when I am doing 180 hop i can only do it clockwise as well. I know that is common for beginners, but the thing is that my forward foot is the right one, and everyone tells me riders usually rotate away from their forward foot (would be counter-clockwise for me). Please don't tell me I'm an alien! But seriously, what's wrong, and are there any tips, except for to practice, to learn to turn the other direction as well? Thanks a lot, Theo
Jake.
I've been riding 4 years and still find it a bit awkward to turn to my left rather than right on the back wheel, I'm left foot forward. I think it's just that you can push the bike with your lead foot easier.
JJ Leigh
got the same thing here, apart from going anti-clockwise, and i ride left foot forward and im right footed/handed, i find i can put more power into the pedal riding left foot forward
