Brian Bleech
I would go on my own, but never have done. As for eating on my own in a restaurant, I don't eat out much and when I do it is normally for some sort of occasion so there are other people there. I go to gigs on my own, I still have fun, but do prefer it when I go with someone.
dngr2self
I don't mind going on my own but do worry slightly when I see someone else sat alone. To be honest it's quite annoying because I spend the whole time thinking about how to take the guy down if he goes Columbine in the cinema. bikeperson45
I've done the majority of 'social' things by myself. I like it, it's not any less enjoyable without people for myself. But the majority of people are too dependant on friends. I've only ever been asked while riding my bike solo about why i'm alone. I don't get that riding thing. Most of the times I went riding by myself (pretty much all the time) I would see someone I knew and they'd say why are you alone. To me it was pretty obvious that when I'm riding for hours in the same car park of where ever that I'm there to ride my bike, same as being in a cinema to see a movie. crilin202
I have done it plenty of times, specially at the odd times so you don't get many people eating pop corn or crisps, making stupid comments out loud ect so you can proper enjoy the movie. So yeah, I don't see it as being sad at all
chimpanzyyyy
I did it a few times and it was cool as few has said, it's a good way to properly enjoy the movie but I like going with people asweel You don't talk during the movie (or I kill you) but it's nice to talk about it afterwards

Tony Harrison
I think it's simple: things like going to the cinema, eating out, people class as treats, and wonder why anyone would possibly want to do them alone. Where I live it's cheaper to eat out, and I don't have a kitchen anyway. One of my favourite places is a French Italian pizza restaurant (where I can now, actually, have dinner with the owner since I got to know her) which is well priced but quite upmarket looking. I eat there at least once a week on my own, usually if I'm working late and just want to go out and have a nice dinner and think about stuff. There's a (not bad looking) girl I know who lives in the block next to the restaurant who's almost always down with going there, but I still choose to go on my own. I think some people are scared of doing stuff alone because it suggests to others that you're somehow 'sad' or socially deficient. Most of these people we will never see again, and never interact with. I've seen films on my own, although I have some friends who like any excuse to see them, so I rarely go on my own anymore. But f'ck it, I'd say that staying at home when you want to see a film is sadder than going on your own.
