i have always thought that if screw on is going to remain as a standard for trials* the manufacturers of cogs should really add some pockets to the cogs that will fit a BB tool removal tool pattern (or a freewheel removal tool). Is it really that difficult?

biggest picture ever time...

*which i think is silly and don't see why we can't adopt a middle burn type standard with splined interface in some way, shape or form

Meeehhh, I beg to differ on the Mburn type set up. Ive never found it that amazing. Its just another interface which could come loose or develop play.

The screw on cog should really be a fit and forget type set up. If you're going to be tightening and loosening the cog all the time, make sure you have a f**k tonne of copper slip on there to make it easier when you want it off and when you do, dont "shock" it off. Use a scaffy bar and ease it round. Other wise, leave it the f**k alone.
