TriаlsRider
Afrer 1 year of using. If you spin the wheel - it stops pretty fast (25 times faster than zhi front hub that is also 1 year old and was setted up on the same bike). Problem in bearings? Ratchet mechanism is in absolutely ideal state, looks like new. I disassembled this hub almost fully, but can't find out how to get bearings(2 main and biggest) out. *Done some experiment now: With same amount of force to spin the wheel I got this results: Zhi R hub - 277 seconds to full stop. Hope - 11 seconds to full stop. How and why is this happening? 1 year must be nothing for hope, isn't it? monkeyseemonkeydo
Have you tried hitting it with a hammer? Anyway, http://www.hopetech.com/webtop/modules/_repository/documents/PROIIEvoSS-Trialexploded1.pdf
FamilyBiker
first you cant compare a front hub to a rear hub(more bearing seals dragging a lot more, ratchet mechanism too) funny part is hitting it with a hammer isnt a bad idea in this case, pull the axle end caps off and gently knock on the axle, should fall out together with one of the bearings.hold a piece of wood between to avoid axle damage. check bearings,if theyre knackered replace with 6903RS(axle bearings) and 6902RS(driveshell bearings) also called 61902 and 61903. get ezo, skf, fag bearings, they live the longest Edited November 21, 2013 by FamilyBiker

trialsalot
Free hub body seal might not be in properly if you've had it apart.

SamKidney
If it's smooth with no wobbles/cracking or creaking, or rubbing/binding sounds, it'll be okay.
TriаlsRider
Hub looks fine and absolutely clean inside and testing was done without chain, so ratchet mechanism has no effect. The funny thing is that brand new hub spins 40 seconds WITH chain on.
