shercofray
Because interest at a daily rate would be compound interest. Starting with £100 on the second day you are getting 2% of £102 - £2.04. On the 50th day you are getting £5.28 making the total £269.16 and on the 365th day you would get £2700.80 making the grand total £137,740.83. So yeah, 2% interest daily is a lot. That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time! Haha

Luke Rainbird
Think again of you think they can get 2% interest! Werd. If they were to get 2% compound over 365 days then yes, the figures would be as ridiculous as you claim, but they don't and they won't get that amount. FamilyBiker
i think the interest is counted per annum, divided by 365 for 1 day?
shercofray
i think the interest is counted per annum, divided by 365 for 1 day? Correct. If they were to get 2% - which they won't - I'm sure you can work it out, on £100 this would be £2 a year or 0.00547....p per day.

This was my original point which has gotten a bit lost in explaining how i got to that figure. I was just showing that the 2% daily that was mentioned in the original post and considered to be a conservative estimate is actually a massive number.
ТrialsRider
You sound very much like our recently departed Russian friend. Life is what you make it, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. That's just the way the system is set up. Get used to it, makes life much easier >Get used to it, makes life much easier I'm not complaining, I like my country because we have more freedom and less government control than in UK for example. I earn as much money as I want and live almost like I want. But when I see poor people I feel sad. I've done my life better and can do it even better than now, it's not so hard. But to turn things better in general (country/world) is much more difficult. But I think it's great to do something about it, to try to change things in whole world to better. f**k people that say "cluck-cluck it's IMBASSIBLE it's utopian". isitafox
To deter people from buying off people via PayPal so they can be scammed easier, that is my opinion (which I will prove shortly).
