ТrialsRider
How is it strong in comparison with usual tensioners?
valk
Unnecessarily heavy; looks like you can hit it in anything and it'll break.
dk2
Its strong enough for tension, but bends/breaks easy and hangs fairly low....
sideburns(dnt ask)
Much better off just running a chain tensioner imo. So many anoying little things that can bugger up. That said I always did like the look of rear mechs on trials bikes

isitafox
In that case a normal sprung tensioner like a Trialtech would actually be easier to switch between gears with
old boy chez
No it's not a bad idear I have run bikes like this for years and never had a prob. Yes it is heavier but I still think they work better then some tensioner's.

isitafox
Yeah the bar that you use to centralise the sprockets is long enough if memory serves me right.
LEON
Yeah the bar that you use to centralise the sprockets is long enough if memory serves me right. I did this for a while, a Trialtech tensioner works fine & has enough adjustment on the pin to have a fat chain on 2 different sprockets. Takes 30 secs to change the gear with a 4mm allen key. Vivian-Trial
It wasn't a bad idea around 10 years ago. Viv
