Willeyeam
Hi! Has anyone had surgery on their shoulder? I'm currently in a hospital bed after surgery to stabilise my shoulder due to a labral tear. Has anyone else had this surgery? If so how long until you can ride again? I don't want to hear any horror stories for a few days. At the moment my arm is completely numb as if I'd fallen asleep on it.
bikeperson45
Yea I'm almost an expert I think I was 8 and a half months before I rode trials again and it fine after that, just take your physio seriously and don't mess it up. Don't rush into riding again, make sure you get the all okay from your physio then ease yourself into it.
Willeyeam
I'm glad yours turned out well. They told me I could go back to full sport after 4 months but I was very sceptical about that. The worst is that my other shoulder needs doing next haha. I'll take some time out to enjoy an active life before getting that done, until then TF videos will have to satisfy my craving to ride. bikeperson45
Mine sounds a little different to yours so you might be go back quicker. The other has the same problem? Did they dislocate? Hope your feeling okay though, I got given codeine and woke up with a runny bottom every night I had to take it I just had knee surgery today as well, feel like I could administer anesthetic by now. Willeyeam
I over did it in the gym. I hit the weights 5 times a week for about 4 years and eventually all the overhead movements took their toll. The physio said my joints are lose and naturally susceptible to it too. Eventually I started losing range of movement and they started clunking, I was an idiot and kept training until it was too painful to do so and they were beyond saving without surgery. It's unfortunate that your knee's gone too, at least you know the process. I hope it works out.
