Mordi
green water!!
brad1995
I would say maybe loosen off the lever blade bolt a wee bit and also take the piston out and put some grease in between the two o-rings on the piston. Good luck!
FamilyBiker
i´d use mineral oil, thats at least what its supposed to have in it... :wink2:
BradJohnson
When its bled up, the pressure of the water pushes it back out, no?

dngr2self
Personally I'd take the piston out and rub it down with wet and dry until it moves freely in the lever.
dave33
The piston has a clearance of .15mm so not need to rub it down. Where ever you bleed it with has made the o rings swell up. Try taking the piston out and cleaning. Then using some grease on the piston and o rings. You need to use rubber grease for this it's read in colour. Any another will damage the rubber and cause to Sewell up more. Bleed it with water. And some anti freeze or summer coolant
dngr2self
I've rubbed pistons down several times and it's always worked.
bike_dummie
I've rubbed pistons down several times and it's always worked. Is the piston not metal being a race line lever? Unless its o ly the body.
*gentlydoesit
You could take the o rings off and the return spring, (with a dab of grease) slide the piston in naked, if its free its the o's to blame. If not try some cutting compound and use like lapping valves on cylinder head.
dann2707
I wouldn't put the piston in bare, most likely to score the cylinder won't it?
*gentlydoesit
Hence the grease, and some amount of due care.
dave33
I will say it again, piston is -.15mm smaller than the bore!! Like a willy in a shirt sleeve Yea slack as f**k

forteh
Well considering you could equate a shirt sleeve to be minimum of 3" diameter, that would make dave's willy 2.9940944881" wide - not really to be sniffed at I guess! I had the same problem with my '14 magura lever, initially bled it with machine coolant (water soluble synthetic oil) which has served me very well for almost half a decade. Tried bleeding it through several times in case it was a trapped bubble of air somehow retarding the piston return. Eventually I bled it through with plain tap water and it worked perfectly; re-tried with the coolant and the piston stuck in again. Running plain water now and it's fine
