Pashley26
Does anybody else on here do it? I have just started, and I bloody love it. I have got a couple of nicks, but it is well worth it.

Jolfa
I usually grow my beard for the 3 months over winter, then treat myself to a trip to the barbers in spring, absolutely love it
dann2707
Heard it's cheaper in the long run to do this, get a decent shaver and just buy millions of those straight edge razor blades!
Pashley26
Welll, I got a quality cut throat with 40 disposable razors (80 shaves) for £24.99. Which IMO is hugely better value than buying disposables. Couple that with a Taylor's shaving foam, with a lid which acts as a bowl. And a Taylor's post shave oil, and a brush for £22.99. Because all the shaving jazz has loads of bergamot and other manly things in it I smelt really nice all day. I just found the whole experience very relaxing, and generally it made me feel good as well as gave a cracking shave. And it was a hot topic down the pub. So whilst everyone is growing a mo this month, why not treat the rest of your facial features to a cut throat shave? bing
There's a place in Goole that does proper full on Turkish cut throat razor shaves, it does feel good once you've had it done. Best to have 5-6 days growth on, makes it really refreshing

Azarathal
Is it a smooth shave? I've got really sensitive skin so It's always sore, itchy and makes my lips dry and crack after a proper shave, good thing I only need to do it every other week
Pashley26
Seems to depend on the soap and creme that you use. Apparently it is gentler on the skin because you should use a hot towel and oils to open up the pores before shaving.

JT!
When I used to shave I would sometimes shave up to the sideburns and then do the rest in the shower without the mirror.
