dann2707
I've realised that when it starts to get dark earlier that I just can't stand it. I just feel really shit about myself and want to go to bed. I'm SO tired now even though it's only 20 to 6! I didn't even have a late night. I'm heard of a few medical conditions that are based loosely on this, It's not as bad as that but I just feel slightly depressed when it's night time so early, kinda feel like the day isn't worth it? Coupled in with the cold temperatures, it's just not great . My lights in my bedroom are painfully bright too so my room is quite positively lit I think. Anyone else feel that this really affects them too? help
Ali C
lack of vitamin D, the sun gives us plenty in summer but not so much in winter (non above Birmingham if I remember correctly). Get some vitamin tablets and maybe a sun lamp (different light to normal bulbs) if you still feel a bit shit.
FamilyBiker
its so bad i dont even have the same power when riding and tend to get injured easier. as ali said,uv radiation and vitamine d
pjl1984
Sounds like SAD ( seasonal anxiety dissorder ). This isnt as bad as it sounds its a bit like ali said lack of vitamin d. Sun lamps are good as they give off uv rays and this will help you. Pretty sure you arent the only one out there that this effects doesnt make much difference to me as i work nights and dont get to see much sunlight anyway. JDâ„¢
Seasonal affective disorder. I don't really get it, but having less daylight does mean less time for activities, which sucks.
BradJohnson
I've felt like this the past week or so but didn't think anything of it, just thought i was being a moody ba*tard for no reason.
bing
Yeah. Turns me into a right miserable twat not seeing any daylight. When I'm on days, I'm stuck in a factory from dawn till dusk. When I'm on nights, its dark when I get in and dark when I get up. It sucks

HippY
as a computer guy, who in a dark room, or if there is light, its extra bright, so I can see the screws, it kinda make me go back to summer. like having fun, doing nothing, drinking, girls.. anyway, i prefer nights over daytime, so it does not really affect me try to listen to a fast or a slow music. it may help as well Vitamin D, well yeah, people in a UK dont get too much of it, it wont be a problem I've felt like this the past week or so but didn't think anything of it, just thought i was being a moody ba*tard for no reason. i dunno, i feel like im going to conquer the world now

FamilyBiker
to be honest i haven´t got mental problems from the autumn/winter weather/less daylight,i feel physically weak. could be that the body turns down to some kind of "power saving mode" or something. my moods are fine, only thing that frustrates me is my muscle tension and bad blood flow(it seems),as i really only got problems with ligaments, tendons and muscles in the dark time of the year... Blake
I find the winter months alright because I just sort of hibernate and do more college work. I go to college when it's pretty dark and when it ends it's pretty dark, I then get home and play xbox/watch trials videos then go to bed. Weekends I ride a bit but not like in the summer. Just try and power through it little dan x
dann2707
Yay it arrived. Christ on a trike it's bright! Doing 30 mins of it now! Thinking of wall mounting it above my computer monitor, could use it as a normal light too!

J.KYDD
I hate it. Cant stand having to leave work and it already being dark. It seems to just put a 'downer' on everything.
shamus
Night riding is much more faff and colder. Getting changed in cold, windy, wet car parks drags. My ride to work becomes less fun and more dangerous. Bike needs more maintenance and cleaning. Have to carry more kit, which gets muddier. It gets harder to go for a beer and have a bbq with my mates in the sun. Never mind.

Matthew_Gibson
It sucks for me too, cold mornings with a half hour walk to work in all weathers! Just make me want to ring in sick, once I'm up and out I'm fine. I feel drained threw out the day, so drink more tea/coffee. That then keeps me up..... Luke Dunstan
Were you sad because you got bugs in your face? Ben No mate, it was the cold air on my eyes. By the time I got home it looked like I'd watched the Titanic. :'(
