TOMTRIALS123
I just wanted to ask what are peoples favourite brakes cause I just want to see what I should put on my bike?
FamilyBiker
someone gota pic of a can of worms? nah, youll get different answers from everyone, personal preference as both have teir pros and cons. i´m with magura, loads of power
Ali C
V has moar power and a nicer feel (why such a strong return spring Magura?)
BradJohnson
Vee's are good when set up well as are magura's. Personally I'd go for one of those new racing line complete levers with 2011 magura slaves and a set of coust pads.
jigga
Anyone worry about cables snapping on V's? I've had a set of Avid Ultimates on and off the bike a number of times. The V's feel as powerful as Magura's but I cant feel as confident with them as I'd hate to have cable fail.
FamilyBiker
as long as you change your inner cable once in a while you should be fine.
Jake.
I run v on front, magura on rear. Both brakes are insane, I've had disc brakes that are insane too. Just set it up properly and I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose.

Ali C
to be fair I'm pretty sure I've got a weaker grip than most riders which is why I never got on with Maguras, so perhaps I've never been strong enough to put cables through their paces
Blake
V front Maggie rear pure swagggg
dngr2self
I've broken both types of brake and I'd say a cable snapping is far scarier as its like your chain snapping. Maguras tend to get gradually worse when you pop them so you have some indication what's going on before it gets serious. For these reasons I'd choose a magura, in terms of performance though they can be pretty much equal if they're set up well.
bing
someone gota pic of a can of worms? nah, youll get different answers from everyone, personal preference as both have teir pros and cons. i´m with magura, loads of power There you go. Wouldn't want you to miss out. I personally prefer maggie rear, v front. Had that on my zoot, my front vee with a dab of tar was the most violent brake I've ever had. Massive bite and hold
trialsbikingnunn
i prefer dual maggies, especially 04 racelines
