harmertrials
I got the black chilli on wiggle for
Mark W
The non-super-soft ones are still listed as Black Chilli though, which is the annoying/stupid thing about the way that Conti name their compounds (or don't, as the case may be). The only way you can really tell is by checking the RRP of a tyre - an RRP of £40 or below is the harder one, an RRP of £50 or above is going to be the softer one. harmertrials
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/continental-der-kaiser-360-mountain-bike-tyre/ Is this not the black chilli compound that tarty sell?
Mark W
RRP: £54.95 - yep. EDIT: Wiggle seem to list that as the "360" with the harder compound being the "112", it seems. Weird.

Mark W
I wonder if that price (and the way they're out of stock and have a "2-4 week delivery" thing) means that they're discontinuing that version of the Der Kaiser. They do the 'Rammstein Project' version now, and they've renamed the Rain King the Der Baron and are renaming the Rubber Queen the Trail King, so maybe that means they're going to dick around with the Der Kasier next... harmertrials
You might be right. I ordered one through them a couple of months back when they were reduced to £35 without realising it was going to be a lengthy wait. Cancelled that order fairly sharpish. dave33
Black chilli is the softest compound that particular tyre come in. It's not a certain compound. For example a black chilli mountain king isn't as soft as a black chilli der kaiser. That's just what conti label them as.
