The comments on The Independent article are hilariously sad - I love how people think that they're somehow entitled to knowingly take advantage of somebody else's mistake, and that even though it was obviously a mistake, and obviously taken advantage of, the orders should be honoured...

Why are Asda referring to a 'rogue voucher code'? They created it, it's their mistake. The rest of us have to pay for our mistakes. So too should they.

Seemingly also, Asda should suddenly change from corporation to charity:

With the profits you make Asda and the many that are stuggling due to the increase in cost of living you should honour all orders made only that will see you in a better light.

This from a nation of people who are - for the most part - completely unable and unwilling to take responsibility for their own mistakes. It's always about someone else, and why we should get what we want all the time. I'm a cynic, I know, but I pray for a real nasty economic and energy crisis so that people can learn just how lucky they once were. Seriously, on a daily basis I meet people with so much less.

(To clarify, I'd have had a go at this too for sure if I'd seen it in time, but I wouldn't have had the audacity to complain about the order being cancelled.)

I'm sure the people complaining are the single-mum-unemployed-stereotype Vicky Pollards of this world who do nothing to help themselves and the only 'mistake' she's paid the price for is getting knocked up at the age of 13.

Absolute scum who have no idea on how the world works.

So I thought I'd try my luck, since I'd placed 2 orders with 2 different kinds of voucher and only got one cancellation email, I went to collect an order...

The woman came out, explained everything has been cancelled for everyone and the police may be in touch because they're looking into it as fraud... Can't see that escalating much further than a threat :P

Indeed. These same people, if they accidentally dropped a £10 note on the floor then noticed, would they let the person who picked it up keep it? I doubt.

Hope not, because if they've got grounds, this thread is evidence of conspiracy to defraud!

*also, you've got nads actually going in to collect :D
