*gentlydoesit
Ive been looking for some nice one finger levers that have good leverage with minimal effort and found some called break force one? that look nice. Theyre a disk brake so i assume the caliper (right word?) plays its part. Is there a good lever compatible with maggies?

Good luck trying to get hold of a set of original magura ones, but these work. http://www.trialsaddict.com/brake-levers/brake-lever-blades/racing-ane-cnc-6061-t6-aluminium-lever-4-finger-blade.html
*gentlydoesit
Most helpful prize goes to brad Yeah, i thought of longer levers but im just not keen on the look.. all that unused lever hanging around bugs me.. . If anyone has seen the (xct i think?) shimano prototype levers, thats the kind of thing i want but for a maggie.

*gentlydoesit
.. nah, when i say leverage i mean LEVERAGE!! Those were ok but not what ive got in mind.. i want a bike that cant be ridden without a slight breeze locking the brakes
*gentlydoesit
I like this for a front breakbut family biker said its not in production And as ive been talked out of a rear disk (and i cant find a frame anyway ) i want a lever like this that works with a maggieleverage tastic! FamilyBiker
why would you want a servo wave mechanism for a rim brake? -thats a modified old XT lever belonging to the caliper i recommended to you btw- as for the bfo brake:ask them. info@brakeforceone.com could be both a custom price and the brake you want if they made you one edit:seems like i was wrong with them not being gone into production state, but they only have a handfull of distributers now, and thats showing in the price: http://superlight-bikeparts.de/BrakeForceOne-Brake-Force-One-BF1-Scheibenbremse-Disc-Brake-MTB-Brake-Bike-Brake nearly 400€ for a brake? nah, thanks. Blake
Doubt you'll find anything for a maggie, not much of a market for em. RB levers? Blake
From what I gather I think he means the length of the blade. Obviously. It's just that it's not actually being unused.
N.Wood
Why don't you just get good pads and a grind and run a normal magura lever like every other human.
dezmtber
Where's the guy that did the bar extensions, he could do a lever extensions with some spare steel bar.
*gentlydoesit
At work atm so ive got no time to quote and edit nicley, so Family biker.. if i cant find a used one on german ebay ill go with your other suggestion, unless you know of any used bfo's for sale. Dr stix.. by unused i mean all the 'not got my finger on' material to get extra leverage. Nwood.. thats too easy, and not really what my post was about. Dezmtbr.. ill give him a shout Ive seen carbon bodies.. but no lever upgrades? I like the mechanical assistance of those shimanos, is there nothing even like it for a maggie? Seems to me somones missed a trick if not

N.Wood
Or it'll be spongey as hell because he's got some retard to weld 10 inches of rebar to the end of his lever blade. What is your current set up? Do you have good pads and a grind?

Im still chuccling ... i figured if i can squeeze the bejesus out of my levers now without the whole thing exploding, getting the same pressure with less force would work?Or it'll be spongey as hell because he's got some retard to weld 10 inches of rebar to the end of his lever blade. What is your current set up? Do you have good pads and a grind? Currently got shite pads and a grind. Its not that so much as the resistance on the lever, enough force to overcome the springs is all the force i want to use

*gentlydoesit
Do you have a water bleed? i do on the front. I was going to post all the experiments i did differnt with springs and fluids. Thats how im confident i cant set them up to feel how i want
bing
Trust me, a water bleed with a 4 finger lever on an 05 maggie, and cousts on a fresh harsh grind and a 2 bolt booster is all the braking power you'll ever need. I took the booster off mine to give it more feel, with no loss in power. You won't need any more. Carthy uses the new racing line complete lever units, with 4 finger blades and water bleeds, with cousts and no boosters. And he's the 3rd best rider on the planet. So you don't need anymore than that. Set it up right with fresh pads bleeds and grinds and you can't go wrong
N.Wood
Ok go for it. Have you tried a well set up V brake? They can be set up to be very easy to pull.

Disk up front and maggie rear, any prototypes/experimental levers i should keep my eye on?
