crashbanggg
If just switched networks and transferred my number... To then find my iphone4 is locked to orange. Has anyone had any success with the various slightly dodgy looking softwares available online? If so could you link it me please!
isitafox
Had your contract run out? If so then the network you were on are obliged to unlock the phone for you.
greg1040
As said if your contract is out then just give them a call and they will do it if not pretty sure any sort of repair phone shop ect will sort u out for a small fee
crashbanggg
Yes... However I bought the phone secondhand and just a Sim only contract so I can't imagine they'd be interested?
isitafox
Nope you'd have to get the previous owner of the phone to sort it
fruitbat
Phone shops will do it for a small charge (independant not high street), fairly easy to do if you know how - unless you know someone who will do it for you FOC then probably going to pay someone something Edited October 2, 2013 by fruitbat
Luke Rainbird
What firmware's it on? Can always go down the jailbreak/unlock route for free first to see how you get on if the FW allows before deciding whether or not to commit to an official/factory unlock that you'll likely have to pay for. *gentlydoesit
I used xda developers website to put a new os on my phone, maybe able to unlock on there?
williams
Jailbreak then unlock it! Depending on what firmwae it's on though
Danny
Get it unlocked officially by orange. Give them a ring and see what they say. It's better going down this route than the jailbreak route as it will be permanently unlocked.
crashbanggg
I've just got back from the Orange shop and they say they can't unlock it as im not the original owner. And I can't seem to find any places around me that will do it. Ah well, seems like a good excuse to find an iPhone5 to replace it with! Anyone got a spare one they want to sell? weirdoku
But then the iPhone 5 won't be unlocked...
crashbanggg
Huh? Either way I've just bought an unlocked iPhone 5 for £300, happy days.
