tdubz
Going back to v brakes for winter after an enjoyable summer on a 4 finger 2005. I currently have avid sd7 levers from when i previously ran v brakes. But i need to find a lever which is as near as dam it to the maggy four finger. Any suggestions? Thanks

FamilyBiker
long v levers usually kill the feel of the brake, gets spongy.

FamilyBiker
Yeah a longer blade v brake lever How so family biker? when you change the leverage ratio of the brake you get a different feedback from the rim,the frame could flex more also.the leverage always works the other way round, too Edited October 1, 2013 by FamilyBiker

tdubz
Maguras are hydraulic Yeah i know. I was referring more to the feel of the pull
Blake
Yeah i know. I was referring more to the feel of the pull It won't really compare due to the differences of the brake system
FamilyBiker
with hydraulic brakes you always get the better lever feedback, fluids dont compress but a brake cable can stretch and the hosing is flexing.
Ali C
Decent cables all but eliminate any flex, inner cables don't really stretch anyway.
