Non-trials hubs good for trials

I used to think my Hope XC was fine, I'd had it 10 years and it had never skipped. I figured that I wasn't good enough to bother upgrading. Then I got a Pro 2, and realised what I'd been missing. Doesn't make you a better rider, but having something for purpose makes a big difference for confidence.

I've had my king hub for about 2 years and it hasn't skipped once, as far as I know it's 6-7years old and the only replacements I've had for it was a drive side bearing (lbs destroyed it because their "Chris king hub tool" consisted of a punch and hammer, I'd tried this method and the bearing was stuck so I would've damaged it and not got a free replacement :P the other part was a fun bolt but that was from torquing the f**k out of it

I'm not a CK pro or anything, but I swear that when I had a go on your bike in January the hub skipped when I was just doing some small pedal kicks..? Am I fat or something? Worth to mention though is that it pretty much wasn't any 'power on the hub' when it skipped.

Either way, I love chris king hubs, my riding friend has had his for 10 years of trials abuse, and he bought it second hand so it's even older than that. He hasn't changed anything, just serviced it :)
