Thanks guys for some actual advice finally haha ! Do you know how much one costs including shipping costs? Also another question sorry how can I look at all the marino frames not just look at how to make custom ones because I can't see it anywhere on the website?

The frame finished all in with express (7-10 days) postage will translate to roughly £250, with slow postage it'll be a bit less.

Marino pretty much does just custom frames, there's not a range or anything, the Archive's sort of a one off that he's made a few of, I think that's the only one he sells off the shelf.

Sorry for going on at you guys bout this

How do marinos compare in terms of strength to inspirers?

Will this bike feel "tight' or "cramped' if you get me? :/ only because I'm on a mk1 fourplay same as the element I think minus the vee mounts and I wanted something that feels slightly more 'roomy' ?

Will it feel majorly different to my mk1 fourplay?

I think this is my last question haha , finally how much does it weigh?

Sorry again for there being so many questions it's just I'm considering buying one but want to be sure before I spend that much money :P

Inspireds frames are really strong, but I think a Marino will outlast a Fourplay, especially your mk1. I had my old one for over 2 years and really trated it quite badly, no problems.

Not many people have Skyes and Arcades are too new to know anything about but they're all really strong frames, I wouldn't be worried about breaking any.

It's a short frame like a Skye and will be much less roomy than your Fourplay, yours is the oldest and longest one.

My 24" Marino weighs about 4.6 lbs if I remember, which is lighter than Fourplays & Skyes, and I reckon an Arcade is a bit heavier too.

About the cramped thing.....he's a custom frame builder so you can order anything you like.

The head angle's 1 degree steeper than a Skye so you'll get a little bit more room and things will be better on the front wheel.

Yeah I know this will sound stupid but if I did just extend the wheelbase would I still get the gap between where the top tube and bottom tube joins the head tube because I really want that :Dpost-35344-0-98944300-1388702387.jpg

Also would everything off my inspired fit straight onto the archive ?

This won't feel more roomy, definitely more crampedEDIT: After having a second look at the geometry that might be wrong but I don't think it'll stretch you out anymore!

I don't want it to stretch me out as such as long as i have more room as in the bars aren't close to me :)

What height are you? I'm 5 8" and my archive was perfect with a 90mm 25 degree stem and da bomb bars a d a couple of 10mm spacers.

I've got a few videos of me riding it if you would like to check them out?

As Leon has said, the Archive is not a production model as such. Marino has made a few limited edition frames for people to buy as an "off the shelf" instead of a completely custom build. If they all sell and people are happy then he might make another batch.

I probably shouldn't be saying but I know there's a tapered head tube version with matching forks kicking about. That's 1"8th to 1.5 head tube dia. There's a mixture of Spanish and euro bb types too.

He told me he couldn't do tapered headtubes when I ordered my frame and didn't really know what I was on about when I asked him about it

Well maybe he didn't have the headtubes in at the time. I've seen pics of Archives with the tapered head tube on it with matching forks so he does have them now.

He has also shortened the off the shelf horizontal dropouts to fit desired gear ratios so they look a bit neater. Ill see if I can post some pictures...
