Grips; foam, tape or rubber ?

Just needing some advice on grips,

Love the feel of the tryall thin foam grips or the rockman but they just don't last long enough as I end up wearing through them where my thumb rests every time. I need something ideally that feels similar but won't wear out so quickly.

Was considering the Esi silicone grips?

I don't normally wear gloves but after resorting to grip tape and barely riding I've had to recently.

Suggestions welcome!

Following the suggestions in a previous thread, I tried ESI silicone grips wrapped with a tennis overgrip tape, like Prince Duratac. The overgrip is reasonably tacky and is much more durable than the foam grips. When the tape is dirty/torn, just re-wrap the grip. Overgrip tape is cheap, relative to new grips. YMMV.

I used this ones for about 3 months of almost everyday riding, and they are like new, with or without gloves.

The grip is insane good, i just dont like the unique colour. Ahh and i cut the falange out of them.

Too expensive when TT foams (best grips ever) are only £6
