Alex Dark
Just needing some advice on grips, Love the feel of the tryall thin foam grips or the rockman but they just don't last long enough as I end up wearing through them where my thumb rests every time. I need something ideally that feels similar but won't wear out so quickly. Was considering the Esi silicone grips? I don't normally wear gloves but after resorting to grip tape and barely riding I've had to recently. Suggestions welcome! dngr2self
I've been using neon foams and they seem quite hard wearing. I've tried all sorts and had the same problem with them wearing out.
FamilyBiker
after wrecking 2 pairs of foam grips and disliking rubber grips i´m using tape and gloves now, never looked back. theres cork tape from varios manufacturers that has a good feel without gloves, too. Mikee
I have been using the same set of TT foams for at least 2 years now. Apart from the trialtech logos wearing off they look pretty much the same as when I first got them. They are fantastic!
dngr2self
I should have mentioned trialtech foams as well, I used them a while back and thought they were really good.
albert_03
Following the suggestions in a previous thread, I tried ESI silicone grips wrapped with a tennis overgrip tape, like Prince Duratac. The overgrip is reasonably tacky and is much more durable than the foam grips. When the tape is dirty/torn, just re-wrap the grip. Overgrip tape is cheap, relative to new grips. YMMV. Perez
I used this ones for about 3 months of almost everyday riding, and they are like new, with or without gloves. The grip is insane good, i just dont like the unique colour. Ahh and i cut the falange out of them. http://renthalcycling.com/kevlar_grips/
