Tony Harrison
Good video and well produced, but there's something about 'street' moves on a long, low trials bike that just looks a bit wrong to me.
Chaotic3vil
I would say the same thing, but he executed them properly which was awesome to see. Definitely one of the best ambassadors of our sport in terms of image. Seing that small seat was a good laugh. Producer/Director: " How to but this weird bike looking normal?" ... "humm".. "humm"... "SEAT!!!"
Tony Harrison
Agreed, he certainly rides well, and I love seeing more trials riders make names for themselves outside of the trials sphere, and gaining sponsors such as Red Bull. But I think non-riders will relate to the image of Danny or Petr more easily, because it looks less like they have specialist kit. I understand that Kenny comes from a comp background, and that riding another bike might limit the size/precision of his trials move and that, ultimately, he is probably happier and more comfortable on the bike he has. Even so, when I see someone manualling a bike like that... hmm. BUT... important point, the video is probably aimed more at non-riders anyway, who won't be as picky as me ; ) As an aside, I get more strange looks being 6ft and taking a BMX on the subway than I think I did with my trials bike, especially since the seat on my BMX is so low. It's funny, I see people look at me, look at the bike, look back at me, look confused, look away, then start all over again. It's like they want to ask some dumb-ass question but don't... Rusevelt
Way longer than the Volkswagen edit I found. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/184223-kenny-beleay-in-volkswagen-commercial/ More enjoyable watch too.
Burglarboycie
I'm really liking that bike! What is it? I'm assuming its something else branded up as a GT?
Ross McArthur
As far as I'm aware, it is a GT? Ive not seen anything else like it before apart from maybe an Echo Hifi or an Aorta. As for the streety moves on a long bike, I'm all for it. A guy like Kenny makes it look good and thats what its all about. I actually think the seat on its quite silly, like something they're doing to take the piss? Is putting a seat on a bike like that really going to make people think its a "normal" bike? I did have a major urge to buy one of those T-shirts when the advert popped up at the end. :$
chris_trials
The frame is the new GT prototype frame, they went back to the +50 bb style so that streetier riders would be more comfortable on the bike
