Shimano brake question

I'm going to buy a shimano deore brake, the 2012 one, it's an m596. I've had one before on the rear of a mod but the lever blade was a little bit short. Can the lever unit be changed to an m810 saint unit without any ill effect? I liked the feel of the lever on that brake as it was the right length and had a really nice solid feel. Not to mention the power. I know it won't be as powerful as the caliper is only a 2 pot, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. Any braking guru's care to offer an opinion?

Assumption mates an ass of you and i.

But, that being said. I assume its his front brake. Every times hes out all he does is complain its shit haha

You assume correct good sir. The hope was shite, just like every other hope brake I've had, and the echo isn't powerful enough, and my bb7 is knackered. I want a hydraulic front brake with decent power. I'm buying the deore 2mora, and can get a brand new lever for £25 off a mate. Just thought the saint lever would be a good idea Edited by bing
