andrew-mck
forgot to mention earlier on it's a rear freewheel
isitafox
Right I'm with you now, sounded like you'd taken the lockring off a FFW! Can you get any of the spacers off and do you have a spare sprocket?
andrew-mck
there was a small spacer that came off when i took off the lockring, and yes i have a spare sprocket
isitafox
You need to get a sprocket on and then attach a bit of chain to each sprocket. The existing one will be hard to get off as it has dug in to the splines so you simply need to hold the chain on the outside sprocket to stop the freewheel turning whilst you turn the existing one backwards to loosen it out where it's dug in. So much easier to explain in person but I hope you get the idea!
