fruitbat
Might sound like a silly question (hopefully won't be) and I really should know the answer myself. I have an Avid BB5 rear brake that I used to use for xc, it is a reliable brake that I have never had an issue with. I want to see about trying it as a front disc on the trials bike - will this be possible. I know I will need a different adapter/disc to mount it correctly - but with regards to the calliper, should this be possible or will it never work? I know the easiest way to find out is to try it, but I don't have the front disc hub yet so cannot fully test Thanks in advance.
isitafox
Yes it'll work fine and be more than strong enough
bing
Yeah it'll be fine. I ran a bb5 for a while until I upgraded to a bb7. Like you say, just get the right adaptor and rotor, and get a decent cable
fruitbat
Cheers guys, didn't want to get the hub and build the wheel to find it won't fit. Time to find a hub now
