*gentlydoesit
^^as far as I can tell its all lined up OK, the chains not slack or bent, there are a few rusty links but they move free enough, all the teeth are there... I can't find a fault at all but it came off three times in a 30min ride! I've gotta have overlooked something. Any ideas what?

ooo
Are you running a tensioner ? AFAIK if you use a single wheel tensioner with a small rear cog it will skip. pics ???
*gentlydoesit
Afaik? I'll put some pics in soon can the rear cog flex? Mine has a fairly big diameter.

tom@eastcoasttrials
by looks of the photo you could lose a few links maybe get a sprung tensioner?
*gentlydoesit
I'm seriously thinking of a new bike! So I'm not going to bother buying bits for this one. I'll make do and mend till I've got the funds. Got my eyes on a 24"
isitafox
Could you drop a few links and run the chain round the other side of the tensioner and pull it up to the chainstay?
*gentlydoesit
No, but great minds think alike. I just tried that, there's not enough rotation on the tentioner and the chain would rub on the frame if there was. I was so hoping that would work as I don't have the tool to split chains anymore its weird how its only started to happen the last few days, I've been riding it for a while now. err
how old are the chain/sprockets? could be partly due to wear, although those fixed tensioners are crap, mine used to slip constantly!
bing
Get a sprung tensioner. Loads better
