My question is, has anyone made the switch after never having ridden a street type bike and how much did it hamper your riding at first? Ben Swales Posted August 12, 2013 Report Share Posted August 12, 2013 I got a Hex after having ridden seatless trials bikes for years and loved it. It took me a couple of rides to get used to the differences in geo and handling, but after that it was fine. I still have both bikes and switch between them according to what sort of riding I'm doing. I find that riding the Hex has really helped my bike handling on the Echo, and that having ridden comps and more trialsy stuff helps with the trials side of the street stuff I ride on the Hex. I've even ridden a few comps on the Hex and really enjoyed it! I still really enjoy riding both bikes, but if I had to choose just one, it would be the Hex - it's a great all rounder! I definitely recommend getting one if you're thinking about riding more streety stuff but still want to be able to do the more trialsy stuff as well. Also, shameless plug: I am selling my Hex (to replace it with a 24" bike), but not got round to posting it up here yet, so if you do want one, let me know. It's Team spec, in very good condition and I have a few optional extras.
