carbon bars vs ally?

Fairly new to the trials world! at the mo im running onza carbon bars wich came on a 2nd hand onza limey, now i have them on a fourplay, im wondering how strong they are? as im from a bmx racing background and its only the kids that run carbons as they arnt deemed strong enough for older guys(40) Any advice??

A lad who I ride with has had tryall carbons and trialtech sl carbons, and he's cracked both of them. He's about 11st wet through, and he's not a basher either. So no, I'd advise not. Trialtech alloys for the win

Carbon bars are very hit and miss. I'm currently on my 3rd set. The stiffness of them is the main benefit, as you only save around 100g when compared to your average ally bar.

However onza carbons are actually an ally bar with a carbon wrap. The geo on them is very dated by todays standard so that combined with the fact that they aren't the toughest bit of kit out there means you would benefit from trialtechs or something similar.
