Trials-Mikey
Recently my slick maxxis creepy crawler has worn through to the canvas and i am in need of a new tyre. I ride alot of brakeless, from looking around i have narrowed it down to two choices either a kenda small block 8 or and maxxis holy roller and i was just wondering if anyone here has experience from running either of these tyres thanks. harmertrials
You worried about weight? If not get a maxxis hookworm, practically stab proof.
Trials-Mikey
You worried about weight? If not get a maxxis hookworm, practically stab proof. no not really as long as its relatively light. thanks ill check it out
harmertrials
no not really as long as its relatively light. thanks ill check it out Very weighty tyre, but honestly the wear life, punny resistance and the way they roll will more than make up for it. Cheap too.
bike_dummie
I'd go for the kenda! Much nicer compared to the Maxxis. Friend had one of the front and i didn't really rate it opposed to kenda which i was running for a short period
Blake
I run a holy roller and it's great for street.

dezmtber
I used to run a schwalbe mow Joe up front on the mod. Worth looking at there very nice.
Neon-trials
I'm really impressed with my small block 8 the grip is hellish in the dry and there well light and very bouncy
trialsiain
small block 8, they look good too.
harmertrials
Personally found the small blocks to be of absolutely no grip whatsoever
trialsiain
Personally found the small blocks to be of absolutely no grip whatsoever on the 24 mine was a lot better than rocket ron, no 24 front tyre is good though to be honest
harmertrials
The rocket ron has to be the worst use of rubber ever though
p_ruskin
Small block 8 was one of the worst tyres i've ever used, no puncture resistance at all
Blake
Small block 8 was one of the worst tyres i've ever used, no puncture resistance at all This You don't need a lot in a front tyre unless you ride comps, then you want something like a try all or monty For street try get something with fat sidewalls for more puncture resistance
dann2707
I'm genuinely enjoying my creeper crawler. Seems to have the best of both worlds and works really well in the wet too. Sm8 are much lighter though
aener
If you value your life even a little you won't get a Block8. Honestly the worst tyre I've ever had, shortly followed by the K-RAD. I currently have a Maxxis Grifter. It's fairly middle-ranged in weight, but has only washed out twice (in the wet) in the 18 months I've had it on. Yes - 18 months. The wear-rate is f**king awesome, without sacrificing much grip. They roll forever too, and I've only had three punctures with it on - all of which I fully deserved Slicked Crawlers, Montys and Try-Alls are all great too, but the semi-slick gives that little bit more grip in wet/dusty places. Considering winter's on the way, I'd try and avoid full-slicks
cardenas_26trials
I like my kenda, it's light and the grip is not thaaaat bad. Haven't had so many punctures neither. Only major problem I found is the wear-rate. Give it a try !
Trials-Mikey
If you value your life even a little you won't get a Block8. Honestly the worst tyre I've ever had, shortly followed by the K-RAD. Wish I had seen this before I called up tarty but hey ho ill give it a try and see. Have you had bad experiences with this tyre or what is it just generally not good ?
aener
The Block8? Yeah... It nearly cost me my jaw. (Amongst a shit-storm of other, less terrifying but still very far from ideal instances.)
