AkuskaUK
Hi all, Apon fixing a puncture today I re-installed my rear wheel into my 2012 Zoo! Piranha frame. Once the rear wheel is in and bolted securely my pro 2 is hard to pedal back. I took it apart and cleaned it / reapplied grease and it seems it have not fixed the problem, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
dk2
yes try to check the cover (alu part) the fits over the end of the axels (and rests against the inside of the dropouts). (its a attached to the axel with a o-ring) on my hub the material holding the o-ring had cracked/fallen of and the result was a harder backpedaling hub (lots of chain slack when trying). Good thing is its a cheap part on crc...hope it helps
monkeyseemonkeydo
Broken axle or dodgy bearing would also be a possibility.
dezmtber
I had a pro 2 EVO hub where the plastic labrinth seal on the freehub body wasn't fitted into the hub body correctly and it did slow the back pedaling. If its not that. Either the bearings are geting tight or you lost the small 12mm washer inbetween the freehub and hub bearing
N.Wood
Broken axle or dodgy bearing would also be a possibility. I'd say these are pretty likely Happened to me 3 times. Once with a snapped axle, once with a shredded freehub bearing and once when I forgot to put the washer back between the freehub and the main body. If yours happened without dissassembly (i.e you couldn't have lost the washer) its probably A or B.
dk2
if it spins okay when mounted, i dont think its a bearing...if you can tighten it up i dont think the axel is broken... But cover as i mentionen, handles how much tension there is on the freehub bearing (not the main bearings). hence my suggestion.

AkuskaUK
I just thought ild update this thread to say that I have fixed it! It was the plastic seal that is in the middle of the hub shell and drive body, it was cracked and torn up at the back but looked in good condition at the front (hence the overlook) Thank you to everyone that helped out!
