*gentlydoesit
So I set my rear brake up pretty well then I noticed that as both pads hit the rim one err piston? pushes harder than the other causing the rim to flex and push the other pad back in. The pads are the same distance from the rim and hit at the same time. Is this a common prob easily sorted?

*gentlydoesit
Scratch that the mounts on the hub for a disk are f*kt. **this was supposed to go in my front disk brake topic** Edited July 29, 2013 by f**megently
Luke Rainbird
Going purely on the image you posted in your other thread, it doesn't look half as drastic as you're making out. Not remotely perfect by any means, but given that it's a trials bike that's to be expected when buying second hand. I'm sure most of us have ridden worse. Get a few more images up showing what's going on a little better.
*gentlydoesit
Err ye, its not the end of the world as I've got a workshop with no end of tools, equipment and a lifetime of mechanical knowhow at my disposal. but I didn't want to buy work!! I wanted a bike to go and learn on without getting the spanners out. Every problem is easily solved with a bit of time and effort but the time I have to ride is limited and I want to enjoy all that time. I paid over 200 for this bike, I didn't expect a minter but for that money I expected the brakes to work at least. Ive got no choice to fix it up now iv got it I will have more pics later Edited July 29, 2013 by f**megently
Luke Rainbird
£200 for a full bike is next to nothing - surely you weren't expecting much? But yes, it sucks.
dann2707
Think I spend 90% of my time fixing and maintaining my bike, 7% sitting around on rides talking about brake pads and 3% riding haha
