HippY
Hey guys Im planning to get a brand new bike and I have 2 choice: a brand new echo Pure 26 inch, front disc, rear Echo TR hydro rim, or a new Onza zoot from tarty. I would like to go street trial but: 1. I am not sure if I can do streety moves. maybe I will learn them overtime, but I am not sure how start off street trials with a small trials knowledge. 2. I am not sure if it is my way. I tried out some BMX and I nearly cried. They are short, high, uncomfortable, although I am sure i can get used to them How close is Zoots Geo to a BMX? I am not sure if it would worth the risk or not
Andrew C
Zoots have a nice geo for more normal tgs type riding but it also lends itself to steet. Deffinatly a good all rounder.
Pete.M
The zoot won't feel anything like a bmx! I can't do bmx'y moves either, but I find the street-trial geo to be far more comfortable and enjoyable for casual trials-riding. If, like me, you're not into doing big gaps etc then the zoot may feel better.
mjewl
compared to inspired skye and fourplay the zoot feels alot more like the fourplay, easier on trial stuff but kinda though for bunny jumps/wheelies etc a 75-90mm 35 degree stem makes it alot more fun for streety stuff though
HippY
actually I am not that type of person who says " yay, I beat my record, now I jumped an inch bigger!" I just like to enjoy things, like casually. there is the other side of me, but that is the geek "I need 3 monitors" part. As I said, I would go more on reliability rather than lightweight ( my current bike is 10 kg and it is very light for me), what would be better: buy a brand new one, and use it in stock/small modification for a while, or get/built one and go with better parts? I would go with around 600 pounds, so it would be a new one with pads and postage, or go with a 300 hundred used one, change loads of bits? isitafox
Buy Revolvers Zoot, £400 and a decent spec to begin with. Wouldn't need to spend any money on it for a good while I'd say.
Paperclip
I agree with the above the Onza has a pretty rounded geo and opens up to lot's of fun moves. I do feel that the build quality of the echo would be lots better (going from the spec of the zoot). If you aren't that bothered about the wheel size for the price of an echo it would still be cheaper for you to get a Inspired Element that's a very reasonable build and has a pretty nailed down geo (and won't break like the others)
HippY
My budget will go as far as 5-600£, so other bikes fall out of the range, and Zoot seems like a good choice for me. Probably I am not going to brake it, I am a beginner

HippY
no, the echo ( with the same spec) is on sale back in hungary for 450£
Rourke
If you are going for a street trials bike dont get the zoot. I would get the element or pick up a used fourplay. Stick to inspired and you wont regret it.
HippY
that could be a valid point, that I work for a few more weeks and i will get an used inspired It seems like it could be only a used one ( or if I get a waay more better job, a new one, then this topic would not have any meaning, but sadly that is not the situation yet) would a used inspired around 600£ be better choice then a new zoot/used zoot with new parts? or if you weight it by reliability, what is better, a new zoot and a frame set change later on or a used one and im changing the parts on the fly? note, i do not have any 24" part
