JordsEvs123
Want to remove it as it has snapped and want to replace it thanks, got the spacers of just axle on the hub and the bearings but don't know how to remove it? Help!
LukasMcNeal
Just tap the axle through until one sides bearing comes out then repeat (as youve snapped yours) for the other side. Put a bit on wood on the axle and tap it out with a hammer, be careful keeping it nice and square you dont want to mishape the bearings or the hub shell. You may aswell also replace the bearings they're pretty cheap.
JordsEvs123
It's still not coming out?
ooo
It's still not coming out? Normally you'll have to smash it quite hard, just get it setup on a bench in such a way that you wont damage any part of it during the smashing. But maybe if it snapped it could be a bit bent and this is making it harder ?
JordsEvs123
Ow well looking for a new rear hub now anyway, can anyone help finding me one?
LukasMcNeal
Keep at it what's the worst that could happen if you're looking at getting a new hub! Bigger hammer and position it over a vice.

AdamR28
Screw a bolt into the axle, then you can use a hammer rather than a mallet (as you'll be hitting the bolt it won't damage the axle). You just need to hit it harder

AdamR28
Depending on how and where it's snapped and where the person is hitting it, the axle may flare out when you smash it, and then it won't go through the bearing
bing
If you are that bothered about damage, get a m6 hexagon head bolt and a dead blow hammer, such as a shot filled or a copper faced hammer x and hit the b*****d hard. It's the only way to drive it out unless you have access to a fly press
