315r
Hello, one small question. I'm currently using a 150X30 stem that its not mine, it do de job perfectly but I have to buy one and the best option to avoid cut the steerer tube is to buy trialtech or bonz 150X35 stem. There are much diference between these 2 measures? Pros and conts? Thanks all!! Edited July 12, 2013 by 315r
clerictgm
obviously x35 is pretty higher with less reach. If you want your bars higher - get x35 x35 will be 9mm higher with 10mm less reach - it's pretty significant difference
dezmtber
dont some of these measure up differently ?
315r
Nowadays I'm running 5mm of spacers, maybe with 0mm the diference of heigh is less and the feeling is pretty similar... With some stem calculator: 150X35 without spacers is 8mm less reach and 3mm higher than the other with 5mm...will I see the difference? dave33
If you compare the clamp area, some are alot higher than others. So you actually have different starting points
315r
Just for those interested: Finally I got a 150x35 bonz stem. without spacers and with the handlebar rolled more forward I achieved exactly the same position of the handlebar that with the 150x30 and 5mm of spacers. The feeling is pretty similar....
clerictgm
What you don't like in your stem? Need some more reach or what? For me choosing stem was pretty troublesome deal. And thats between 70x35 and 100x30 that differ alot. Edited July 16, 2013 by clerictgm

And thats between 70x35 and 100x30 that differ alot. No, maybe we are lost in translation. The problem was that I tested a 150x30 stem that wasn't mine, I had to return it to his owner, this geometry was perfect, but at the moment to get one, I was searching for an option that I hadn't to cut the steerer tube, because during the period of time that i test the 150X30 I had to run a "experiment" to tight the direction with a wedge-shaped spacer and a straight plug. Excuse-me for my english please. :$
