Jake.
Meh bit of a shitty topic but yeah, I've had my Echo TR Platforms about a year now and bought them second hand. I keep feeling like they're going to break due to reading about them being the weakest there is, are there any tell tale signs they're going to go? Cheers. Blake
I ain't seen many platforms go it's the echo cage's which are shit
Jake.
It's the same axle though right?
SamKidney
The cages on TR caged pedals usually die before the axle does. Depends I suppose. Some go on forever and some seem to be shit. If you're paranoid they're going to go then it might be worth treating yourself to some newuns and keeping the TR's as spares or something, or even sell them on. EDIT: I mean the pedal body. The arms that the cage bolts to usually die first.. Edited July 4, 2013 by Echo Lite
Blake
it's the cages that snap on the cage pedals not the axle's.
CalopS
Mine just went but I'm not great at noticing these things. Get Nukeproof Neutrons if you want a strong pedal, or a fresh set of Echos.
Perez
I use TR's since they got on the market and just crack one of them, on the cage. Never a axle. I change pedals every 6 months just for feeling safety, it is a pedal that i would advise.
Jake.
Mmm alright, nice one cheers. Actually Carl I was eyeing up to Nukeproof ones, could possibly be an option. NS Aerial Pedals, anyone had any experience of these? Seems pretty cheap. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=55261 Edited July 5, 2013 by JMCD
AkuskaUK
I've had mine for about 7 months now and they are still going strong, my mate had a pair or the cages that dismantled themselves
