Rourke
Hey guys,I just ordered a blue fourplay frame but I have green rims, so I was looking to raw them. I don't know much about painting and everything but I am determined to learn. Would I be able to avoid un lacing my rim and still clear coat it? I have some steel and brass brushes and or sand paper. I was thinking that I could sand it down by hand and then very carefully hand brush the clear coat on.Do you think it is posible to go about rawing and clear coating my rims this way? Do they even sell clear coat that you can hand brush on? would it look ok? Thanks
FamilyBiker
coating aluminium with anything is a hard job, most stuff doesnt stay on the parts you painted over time, try to just roughen the old paint, and paint them silver,as the old paintjob is more likely to give a good adhesion
dann2707
I'd delace it and do it properly the first time
