chris_trials
so, I've just fitted a basically new try-all H rear wheel to my kot ms2 and there is no brake sound. this worries me as when I had my echo TR rim my TNN LGM's would howl like a banshee. should I clean/sand the pads and white spirit the rim or will I just need to bed the pads into the rim? CurtisRider
You should feel fortunate.... unless the brake isn't working satisfactorily then just leave it
Mikee
Does the brake still work well? Little changes can make big differences to brake characteristics in my experience. Give it some time to bed in again and see what happens. But a working brake with no noise is a win in my books.
Danny00135
You should feel fortunate.... unless the brake isn't working satisfactorily then just leave it This Although I always have a huge honk from my brakes I'd much rather they be silent.. And because of flex I aint putting a disk on my stock Back to OP though, this does happen, and you might never get sound back. all you can do is pray that when it beds in, fresh grind, and it might sort it out. It might be that your old rim had an angled sidewall? and the brake pads are no longer hitting square, or the new rim has an angled sidewall. If that's the case either wait until it beds in or do some sanding
chris H
It's just the tr rim bud, they scream. Double walled rims make a lot more noise, last tr rim with lgm's I had was crazy loud.
