Need some musical inspiration - chilled dubstep and hip hop.

As some of you are aware I usually play fairly peak time stuff in my DJ sets, however I've just landed a main stage set at a festival in August and the deal is more kinda chilled out stuff as I'm on at 1 in the afternoon.

To give you an idea of what I already have planned, here's my first three tracks:

1. Burial - Archangel
2. Buraka Som Sistema - Eskeleto
3. Burial - Fostercare

The plan is to go more chilled out from there onwards...

Any suggestions?

Rick Ross - Hard in the paint

DAFUQ? You serious dude? You class this as chilled out 1 in the afternoon material? :w00t:

Phaelah might suit your needs? What festival is it?

Sounds good, listening to a few tracks now - good suggestion :)

It's Hamswell Festival, I'm official photographer for it this year and managed to blag a set as well. Can't wait!

We went last year and I met Maxi Jazz from Faithless:

Haha sorry Mike. Some hip hop for you....

This whole Mouse Outfit album 'Escape Music' is unbelievable...

One of my favourite summer jams...

Paradise...

Cappo...

Anything Joey Bada$$

Anything Madlib. Souls of Mischief tunes. Arts the Beatdoctor. J Dilla. Kev Brown. Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

I've got a load of playlists (UK Hip Hop, US Hip Hop, Liquid D&B, Dubstep, Garage etc) on the Broken Culture youtube channel that might be worth a browse: https://www.youtube.com/user/BrokenCultureUk

Also for deep dubstep, check out the 'Solitude- Ambient Dubstep' mix series. Not all ambient but just the deeper, non screechy side of dubstep. On the electronic side of things and going off the three tunes you've got, I'd go for people like Synkro, Indigo, Biome, Eleven8, Bop, RJD2, Four Tet, Mecca 83 and Ninja tune stuff.
