What have I apparently done wrong now? Yes I said that, and changed my mind and decided I had more to say on the subject. As I am entitled to.

I apologised to romm for the comment and explained it wasn't an insult but rather an expression of disbelief as to why he was disregarding perfectly reasonable advice... so why go back to bringing up somthing that was said and apologised for. Again, I'm sorry for that comment.

My opinions are my own, I am entitled to express them. There are no laws against disrespecting anyone aslog as you'r not inciting race/violence Etc..If you are asking me to not post any more in this topic as an administrator/moderator then I will obey you and ask why you see any one opinion as more/less than another?

However, if your simply saying you dont like my posts, then simply don't read them I have no obligation to please everyone with what I say...

wait,i just got it i think:youre willing to spend about 200gbp on a stem that most likely will crack/snap within weeks?

for that amount ofmoney you´ll get 3 or 4 superlight trials stems, thats 8 years of stem lifespan!

nearly every stem in that category is light and strong, and syntace for example make the strongest light stems on the market.

my syntace superforce weights 190g with 120x20°,and is intended for downhill, as 3/4 of all syntace stems.

security and semi-lightweight is the compromise for me to save my teeth.

100g for a stem would work in road racing, but how often do you jump with a road bike?

if you look closely at the bikes in"premium rush" you´ll see that theyre fixies, actually theyre built from bmxy parts when it comes to stems, and the tubeset of a fixie frame is much stronger than of a road bike.

other thing is that a movie doesnt show how much stuff got damaged during filming, you just get to see the end product

premium rush was stunt ridden by mr macaskil, im pretty sure the frames on the bits with the serious tricks in, such as the 360 drop were custom made. Road parts are not designed to take as much force as trials parts and definately not in the same mannor, and as such will not take the abuse. Parts made for dh, xc and even 4x for example are made for comparabile forces, jumping, dropping ect and even these are known to fail. Therefore there is no purpose in you experimenting with a road orientated stem as it simply will not withstand the force. the only experiment here is how long it will withstand it, which will most probably be a very short period of time. I know someone has been told off for being abusive, but seriously if you don't get the message after this response and all of the above replies telling you not to; you are seriously f**ktarded. You are an ignorant, intollerable dickfiend and I turn my back on you. You WILL break your nose/ribs depending on it when it goes and I hope you learn from that experience.

Goodbye.

Dh riders use xc wheelsets for the wc finals. But one big hit wrong and the wheels colapse. They use them to gain a second or two. But would only ever use them once because they know the wheels can only take 5-10 mins of that abuse

One of our kona team riders was given a set of easton haven wheels for heavy enduring riding, but after cracking the carbon rear rim loads he has to run an alloy rim on the rear. So it won't loose air from cracks.

If you use that road stem it would be ok for possibly one days riding then any more and you will be on borrowed time.

I hope for your sake you have nine lives

dо sоmеbоdу knоws sоmе саrbоn nоt rоаd stеms?

Not suitable for trials, no.

Just face it dude. Lightweight trials stems are already about as light as they can be without being dangerous, and they still break.
