dann2707
I've seen this happen before. It's not glued to an old pad, I think that's just the adhesive / bonding tekkers

Danny00135
It's in order to make them 10mm.. Instead of cutting into them to make it standard.. This isn't an issue with the 7.5 pads
koxxboy14
It's in order to make them 10mm.. Instead of cutting into them to make it standard.. This isn't an issue with the 7.5 pads Yeah as Danny said. They are not cut into the backings like most pads just stuck on top of the backing. So this Is just adhesive in order to make it stick to the backing Not an old pad cut off..: Edited June 2, 2013 by koxxboy14

SCOTTY___
Contact Steve from Heatsink. Hes the man you wish to contact. However, if these were bought second hand I would go there first. Looks like youve been sold a dud my friend!

koxxboy14
Feel it and its brittle and you can snap it. No pad is like that mate. I even inspected it myself taking it out the backing
SamKidney
You can see the clear adhesive on the coust material thats come away. The yellow material is indeed brake pad, inserted to make a flat bonding surface across the area of the backing. These aren't the only pads Ive seen do this. Ive seen more 10mm cousts from heatsink do the very same with the yellow material in the backing. dann2707
Look how it's moulded to the black nuggets in the pad. Heatsink pads do NOT do that. The glue is like that two part epoxy stuff where it's liquid then sets once it's had the binder added. Ok who ever loses has to buy the other person a burrito at radfest if you're going!
