Rourke
I have heatsink cnc yellows for vee brakes and I was wondering if i could use those on my hydraulics. I don't look forward to dropping 30 pounds on new pads, so please help. Thanks, Rourke

bing
So how come heatsink refills are the same then for vee and hs33? - Heatsink's top secret Yellow compound - tested and developed with several top riders (including multiple Junior World Champion Aurelien Fontenoy and street rider Damon Watson). - Standard recess size (17mm x 8mm x 4mm) ensure these pads will fit with a wide range of backings, including Heatsink's own CNC HS33 and V-Brake backings, as well as PowerPad plastic backings - may fit other manufacturer's backings with a slight modification. - Not compatible with TNN backings. - 8mm of pad material ensures a long-lasting pad. - Sold as a pair (two individual pad inserts). Recommended Use Sharp medium grind, dry weather, slightly deeper grind for wet weather. Edited May 26, 2013 by bing
dann2707
I swapped my material from vee to hs33 and back loads of times. Might depend on backings though. I used these cheap cnc vee backings from eBay with no problems
WIGAN ??
well they must have changed recently so material can be changed from vee to magura, ive just had a look on tarty an yeah they are interchangeable but i definitely remember vee backings being longer and curved a few years ago, ive got both tnn and heatsink ones and they both have a slight curve and are about 10mm longer
Alex Dark
Wigan : The old plaz backing a were curved, the newer ones are the same form as the magura backing
