trialsbikingnunn
Here is my Modified Hope Pro 2 hub made to 116mm spacing by Euan Beaden. Took a couple of months to get it all done but but definitely worth it!
SamKidney
Looks super tidy, nice touch having the disc tabs removed too! I'm semi tempted to ask Euan to do me one, but I dont really need one

Chaotic3vil
Are the small holes on the removed tabs section from cast aluminium?
Muel
Are the small holes on the removed tabs section from cast aluminium? No, all Hope stuff is CNC'd from billets. Duh... Edited May 27, 2013 by Muel
monkeyseemonkeydo
And how are the billets made?...
Muel
I was attempting to poke fun at the posts I often see on here comparing CNC and cast stuff as if they're different processes, even though they're usually both used somewhere down the line. Clearly I failed. Anyway I'll try to be helpful instead, I'd doubt those marks are from the casting of the billet the hub shell was made from, as the rest of the hub shell has been machined and doesn't show any imperfections.

trialsEuan
looks more like lathe work to me I filed the tab remnants down, and then used some wet and dry to get rid of any scoring. A lathe was not used as there would have been no easy way to hold it in a chuck or collet without making up a jig. ground off first then lathed I think. You say you've used a lathe George? Probably best to get the terminology right first... #inb4haterzgunnahate
