Azarathal
Each pad / rim / grind / frame / booster etc combo will perform differently and sound differently
Danny00135
Your pads aren't aligned squarely, The plastic pads can bend meaning they will always touch square to the rim even if they're a little out, but CNC backings are much stiffer, meaning you have to have them set up perfectly square. Re-align your pads and it should solve it, Good luck
Martin Reynolds
Surely, the noise is created by the pad vibrating, so metal backing would prevent this and make the brake quieter?
stunt man t
Surely, the noise is created by the pad vibrating, so metal backing would prevent this and make the brake quieter? im sure the pads vibrate in the cylinder so its irrelevent what the backing are made of? if the noise disappears on my bike (nomally if i move the wheel after a puncture) i just re-allign the pads Edited May 23, 2013 by stunt man t
tom@eastcoasttrials
ive realigned the pads and the nothing forward but backwards its amazing could it be down to the previous owner grinding in the wrong direction?
