isitafox
I take it you paid as a gift then through PayPal?
mjewl
did you send the cash with the free option @ paypal? i imagine always getting the seller to make an detailed paypal invoice would be better in terms of spotting the fraudulent ones, costs a little but would be legally more binding than a using the "send money to friends and family (NOT FOR BUY/SALE)"

isitafox
Without trying to sound like a dick, if you sent money to someone without covering your own arse then it was your own fault. Nearly all the threads I read like this all seem to come from deals made on Pinkbike, I just hope you've reported the seller on there. I'd also make the journey to either get your money or bike, a train ticket won't be that much.
persistant_itch
Get onto to Paypal and your bank right now! I was scammed a few months back and Paypal were decent enough about it Pink bike is fairly sketchy I think, seems full of dodgy characters! MadManMike
No dig at you, but I'd never part with full bike money unless I knew the person well. There's a few on here I'd trust, but I'd be very careful if I was chucking hundreds across the internet! Hope you get the bike or cash back buddy.
