bing
Looking through ebay for hs33 pads, just to see what's knocking about. There is a seller from Buxton who is selling Koxx bloxx, in blue, yellow and green pad colours. I can only assume these are different compounds? I've never had Koxx pads so I don't know what they are like, here are the links http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Koxx-Bloxx-magura-HS33-HS11-Brake-Blocks-yellow-/110709285879?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item19c6c9a3f7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Koxx-Bloxx-magura-HS33-HS11-Brake-Blocks-BLUE-/160612490032?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2565401b30 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Koxx-Bloxx-magura-HS33-HS11-Brake-Blocks-GREEN-/170661973591?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item27bc3f0e57 Just wondered if they are any good like
stunt man t
Koxx bloxx browns were the one back in the day never tried the others, but the 'croco' pads replaced the koxx bloxx (i think) and the croco yellows were good aswell Edited May 17, 2013 by stunt man t
Sam T
Fairly sure the blues come on the full build 26" Impulse?

N.Wood
For what its worth I've just swapped from TNN LGMs to some Koxx reds I found in my toolbox and I'm impressed... They were meant to be temporary, but can't see a reason to change back...
Mark W
Koxx Greens are really good too. I was switching between Plaz CRMs, Cousts and X-Hydras (combo), but then gave the Greens a pop and only ran them from that point on. If you ride in the wet at all they seem pretty good in that regard as well.
bing
That's good to hear then, just nowadays the consensus seems to be, tnn lgm's, heatsink yellows or proper 10mm cousts. Maybe these should be given a try, and they are roughly the same price as the rest.
Mark W
I've tried Cousts, Heatsinks and TNNs and the TNNs always seemed the better of the 3 - I don't know whether it's just some rose-tinted glasses shit, but the Koxx Greens seemed to be as good as/if not better than LGMs. I still don't understand why Coust pads get so much hype when they're fairly average. bing
I had the coust refills off heatsink Steve, and I didn't rate them at all. The yellows were loads better. A lad I ride with has bought some coustsinks and he hates them. He's gone back to lgm's now. That said, I had a blast on Matt pengellys mod at hook woods last year, and he had proper 10mm cousts on and they were amazing. There does appear to be a marked difference between the coustsinks and proper cousts, and there has been quite a few people who have said the same thing to me. SamKidney
Every set of cousts Ive tried on other peoples rigs have seemed awesome, yet to see a bad set. The only gripe I have with the 10mm options are how they were/are assembled. A good few sets have come away from the backing. That said, the 7.5mm option thats properly recessed into the backings seem just as good, and safer. I am a fan of TNN's pads though, I've had one or two duff sets but my last few have been sweet. Numerous sets of yellows have been used, often starting out brilliantly and deteriorating as they wore out. Used a set of Koxx/Croco Yellows/Browns briefly and they were pretty good too. My current Rockman Blues have to be some of the best pads I've used though, my brakes have never been better.

bing
They'll be going on a smooth rim when my zoot comes. Cba with grinds anymore, I don't plan on riding in the wet. Plus ill be sorting out a new wheel set for it at some point so my saints can go on it
BradJohnson
I have some Echo CNC pads if you want those then they're amazing on a smooth rim, £12 + postage?

Perez
Totally agreed! x 2! Grind the rims, install them and forget about brakes for a good while, sooo good! And with the alu backs even better!
isitafox
Yeah, they are good. Can't believe Mark Anthony still have some, lol. You'd be surprised what completely random bits he's still got. Proper tight arse though, if I try to buy on ebay he won't allow pickup to save on postage.
