LordMersey
Hey guys. Having a little issue puting my cog onto my cranks. Its Trialtech Sport Forged cranks and Trialtech 18 tooth cog. When I try to screw it on it gets about half way down and stops. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how you fixed it? Cheers for your time, Jack
Alex Dark
Try turning the cog around and screwing it on, if it won't that points to the cog and that's your answer, if it does then try another cog / ffw on the cranks to check them
dave33
Use grease on the threads
Danny00135
Yeah grease the threads, Inspect them for little marks/dengs/dents that could be stopping it from wanting to go, if you don't have a tap and die for the threads (I can't believe I'm suggesting to do this now) try sort it with a flat screwdriver... But greasing up the threads should do
Alex Dark
Do not use a screwdriver on the threads, it's possible to chase any damaged portion of the thread with a very small file if necessary
