Yeah grease the threads,

Inspect them for little marks/dengs/dents that could be stopping it from wanting to go, if you don't have a tap and die for the threads (I can't believe I'm suggesting to do this now) try sort it with a flat screwdriver...

But greasing up the threads should do (Y)
