yes! Awesome

want to see more like this

dont get me wrong, ryans a legend, but i dont rate his riding other then "ride alongs"

thing is, he is older now, and for sure he isn't pushing himself anymore

but in his older vids, he was one the best at that time

And he wasn't "riding along"

he was f**kin nuts

probably one the first rider that had lots of power moves

and maybe the first ever I saw tucking his legs in a gap (I know you like that :D )

With RockShox sidehop forks bing some of the flexiest I have ever encountered, and XT hubs not exactly having they greatest bearings/ratchet/pickup, he is certainly a braver man than I riding that bike! The fact you can see his forks flexing from simply hopping on the back wheel would not be putting me in the best of confidences!

Other than that, seriously smooth rider and I love the mountain bike look! Surprised he is running and XTR mech though and not Saint!

though it was something about his "lazy" style

manifesto was not was I refering to

for me it's not that old :)

here's a better example of his best riding style

Well it's good to see that Ryan still has a creative riding mind but that bike and set-up is definitely holding him back.

At this point I don't think he's trying to keep up with the Danny Macs of the world.

He's spent his whole career with big name sponsors (Norco, Shimano, Marzocchi etc) paying him to do shows, I reckon he's pretty happy.

Refreshing to see a video where he wasn't talking us to death.

Riding was great. A lot better than I thought he could do.

Doesn't look like he needs a modern bike.

Chimpy, you'll know... The video with Ryan riding on a cold night with the big bunny manuals down ledges next to stairs and the lines were flood lit. Do you know where to find that video?

the one with the playground? and the big bunny hop over the fence?

I was searching for it all day

couldn't find it :(

pretty sure it was part of a big film

kranked or something else

hope someone can upload it somewhere

edit: booooom

What's your definition of smooth?!

Not landing like a pile of crap from pretty much any height.

here's a better example of his best riding style

See that does nothing for me either. Again landing like a sack of spuds doing nothing all that impressive. He's got excellent control and manual skills but overall I just don't rate him.

Edit: That Ride to the Hills segment is definitely one of his better ones. I guess part of it is that good riders make things look effortless/easy whereas whenever I see him ride he makes everything look like a struggle even when it's only some backhops across small gaps.
