Revolver
Yeah that was great! I guess he realised that having all the philosophical talk in his videos was alienating him from us riders.
aener
Would love Manifesto Pt.2!Love videos where he does riding, rather than the other recent ones in which he talks about riding.Hook-to-front-over was cool!Edit: Snaked Edited May 15, 2013 by aener
Trials-Mikey
would like to see what he could do with a modern bike
Ash-Kennard
hey must be the easiest rider to sponsor ever. want a new frame ryan? nah this one still works, fancy a single speed kit so you dont have to worry about your gears? nah, occasionally i might want to ride somewhere. want to save some weight? nah i like sus forks and heavy rims. but yeah great riding, hes still got it

chimpanzyyyy
yes! Awesome want to see more like thisdont get me wrong, ryans a legend, but i dont rate his riding other then "ride alongs"thing is, he is older now, and for sure he isn't pushing himself anymorebut in his older vids, he was one the best at that timeAnd he wasn't "riding along"he was f**kin nutsprobably one the first rider that had lots of power movesand maybe the first ever I saw tucking his legs in a gap (I know you like that ) Edited May 15, 2013 by chimpanzyyyy
krazykid009
With RockShox sidehop forks bing some of the flexiest I have ever encountered, and XT hubs not exactly having they greatest bearings/ratchet/pickup, he is certainly a braver man than I riding that bike! The fact you can see his forks flexing from simply hopping on the back wheel would not be putting me in the best of confidences! Other than that, seriously smooth rider and I love the mountain bike look! Surprised he is running and XTR mech though and not Saint!
inthesystem
And he wasn't "riding along" you not watched manifesto? round rails, chains, dogs, peoples arms, he rides along ANYTHING!
Ross McArthur
I think what Damon is trying to say is that he doesn't like Ryan's riding apart from when He 'rides along' skinny lines?
monkeyseemonkeydo
I just don't like his riding... That video did absolutely nothing for me- not smooth, not impressive. Showed good control but that's about it. Would've been acceptable about 15 years ago but that was just... meh.
chimpanzyyyy
you not watched manifesto? round rails, chains, dogs, peoples arms, he rides along ANYTHING! not sure what you mean in the endthough it was something about his "lazy" stylemanifesto was not was I refering tofor me it's not that old here's a better example of his best riding style

Rusevelt
Well it's good to see that Ryan still has a creative riding mind but that bike and set-up is definitely holding him back.
Ross McArthur
Chimpy, you'll know... The video with Ryan riding on a cold night with the big bunny manuals down ledges next to stairs and the lines were flood lit. Do you know where to find that video? LEON
Well it's good to see that Ryan still has a creative riding mind but that bike and set-up is definitely holding him back. At this point I don't think he's trying to keep up with the Danny Macs of the world. He's spent his whole career with big name sponsors (Norco, Shimano, Marzocchi etc) paying him to do shows, I reckon he's pretty happy.
Ross McArthur
So, if Ryan was to have a more up to date set up, what would it be?
krazykid009
So, if Ryan was to have a more up to date set up, what would it be? Willing to bet a Hex, with Hope and Shimano componentry...
LEON
Surprised he is running and XTR mech though and not Saint! I think a Saint mech is just an overbuilt Xtr, extra weight with no real benefits, they're ugly too.
BradJohnson
Leech's style is amazing! i tryed to spot the correction hops and didn't find any
CalopS
Refreshing to see a video where he wasn't talking us to death. Riding was great. A lot better than I thought he could do. Doesn't look like he needs a modern bike. Edited May 15, 2013 by CalopS
Ross McArthur
He should take it to the next level and be B-C'less.

monkeyseemonkeydo
What's your definition of smooth?! Not landing like a pile of crap from pretty much any height. here's a better example of his best riding style See that does nothing for me either. Again landing like a sack of spuds doing nothing all that impressive. He's got excellent control and manual skills but overall I just don't rate him. Edit: That Ride to the Hills segment is definitely one of his better ones. I guess part of it is that good riders make things look effortless/easy whereas whenever I see him ride he makes everything look like a struggle even when it's only some backhops across small gaps.
