dave33
Possible but it won't work so good. Do a search as this topics come up many times
FamilyBiker
in general its possible, but you´d have your pads like 1mm away from the rim.as its not a closed system like hs33s,it´ll be pumping the pads in until they reach the rim,you have to fill the reservoir until then, then, keeping the lever pulled, put the reservoir cap back on,then release the lever. thats the only way i got it to work,i just had to make sure my rim is true like hell, and it scratched on the pads a bit when kicking hard. that it is possible doesnt mean i´d do it... edit:if you got julies and maggies i´d rather put a hs lever on the julie, that works good, rode it like that for a year or so Edited May 11, 2013 by FamilyBiker

FamilyBiker
Thanks mate. and would you recommend using a hs33 lever on a julie or is it not worth the hassle? that works good,it hasnt got the power a todays brake would have, but for me it did it edit:in this context, take a 4finger lever! Laurence--Trials
Woaaaah no don't put a hs33 lever on the disc you'll loose all your power due to a lager master piston in your hs33 resulting in less pressure at the other end when the lever is pulled. Just stick with your current levers it'll be for best.
FamilyBiker
you know of julies beeing low pressure systems and having the big piston, too, dont you? :wink2: joking aside,i assumed it to be the non hp-julie,sorry.i got both levers here, the piston is compatible, only the reservoir makes the difference. its a 2000 julie though edit:what power then?its a julie!!! FamilyBiker
julies up to 2003 are low pressure systems,as hs11/33 are,so the levers are compatible and the power(julies had none though)stays the same,if not increasing, only the pad travel is different, but thats adjustable with the tpa. julies after 2003 are high pressure(hp) systems, the master piston is smaller and the hose is reinforced, less pad travel,no chance for a hs lever to work. ran a 2000 julie with a 05 hs lever for a while, the hs lever was more powerful in braking force than the original one(4 fingers though) hope now it makes more sense...
