wilf
Hello All, Got myself a new ride so I thought I would let you all know what it is. Frame: Echo Lite 09 Fork: Echo SL (Probably change them pretty soon as I've just snapped a different set, getting them welded up though aha) Front brake: Hope Mono Trial 07 Rear brake: Hope M4 (for now, just until I get the matching Mono Trial) Hubs: Echo TR Rims: Echo TR Cranks: Echo 6061 160mm Freewheel: Echo TR 72 Bar: Changed to a Try-All Rage bar Stem: Changed to a Tarty 165mm by 35° Headset: Echo SL Bought it secondhand off a dude, even thought it wouldn't look it. Few scuffs on the frame, wheel bearings, BB and Headset are all perfectly smooth, even the bash was practically new, had the odd tiny scratch. Also put a few pictures of my trials bike before I got this, my Orange Patriot and my Evil Faction at the bottom. This is my brakeless Speedrace Solo. Found this just after I had taken the above photo Good old Sl's lol Well this is my Patriot before I made a few changes... And this is now. Changed the frame from a 2003 Patriot LT to a 2008 Xcel, And then I wanted to bling my brakes a bit so thought about buying bore caps but then realised it would be more cost affective is I got the ones I already had anodised, so I put the mounts and a few bits in and then it sort of spiraled from there lol. This pic is of everything I got anodised. And then after. This is the 6TI's for my Patriot and then a spare front 6TI and rear M4 all blinged, also with 2 225mm rotors. Yes that is a 225mm rotor And a few of my Evil. Thats all for now, I shall report back when I make some more changes. Cheers Wilf Edited May 8, 2013 by wilf

wilf
Aha I see, I very much wanted the echo aha, was at a decent price as well, but you wouldn't believe how much I got this one for. Edited May 3, 2013 by wilf
bing
the echo looks good, I like white frames. If I was you, I'd keep the m4 on the rear, you can never have too much power. And the 6ti's look amazing. You sir, have a very nice collection
Muel
Mono trial has almost equal power to an M4 theoretically. The M4 splits it across more pistons to increase modulation.Anyway, not bad wee man, but still not as pimp as my Simtra.

Yeah I'll be keeping it for a while at least but I want to put it on my DJ bike at some point. Its pretty shit at the moment though, I completely rebuilt it because I thought one of the seals might have gone but its fine so I reckon it needs new pads. Yeah the 6TI's are pretty pimp all the red stuff on them I had anodised myself bar the top caps, its saves sooo much money lol. Mono trial has almost equal power to an M4 theoretically. The M4 splits it across more pistons to increase modulation. Anyway, not bad wee man, but still not as pimp as my Simtra. I'm guessing it depends on how big the pistons are? The Mono Trial is 25mm and the small M4 pistons are 14mm so the large must be about 16mm. Anyway its much worse the the front Mono Trial so I'm inclined to get a matching rear Yeah the Echo's a beast, just given it a full rebuild this morning and its just perfect, I think its the first second hand bike I've ever bought that I haven't had to change a single thing because it was either broken or shit lol. bing
The m4 probably needs a bleed and some new pads, it'll be as good as a mono trial then

Anyway its much worse the the front Mono Trial so I'm inclined to get a matching rear Pretty much. It's to do with the surface area of the pistons. It effectively multiplies the force you put into the system at the lever. I think the M4 and 6TI use multiple pistons in order to use a longer, shallower pad so that it can toe in, which leads to more modulation. (Not certain about that last bit). The m4 probably needs a bleed and some new pads, it'll be as good as a mono trial thenWhat, you can diagnose that via the internet and some pictures? Bollocks! wilf
Cheers man, yeah deffo, maybe we might be able to get Sam to come along. Yeah me and Ogre were down there today, its not too bad, some cool lines but not that much to go at. I think a Buxton ride would be a good idea.
