onza pro series guy
Hi guys, pretty much as the title says, I'm looking for advice on how to get the brake runs and mounts off my inspired frame and forks. Shall I attack them with a hacksaw and play it safe or will that take forever and i should grab a grinder and a cutting disc? Anybody done it? what method did you use? thanks fellas Dave

JD™
He's not particularly far off the mark - I used a chisel and hammer on one of the cable guides on the Zoot frame I did, just to see whether it'd work. It did. The others I played it safe though, I used a dremel and then a file, and then sandpaper. Here's a photo album of the progress that might help. Martin Reynolds
did the cable lugs on my limey recently. I did it with a file and it took ages, but how i would do it is: get the worst off with a grinder tidy it up with a file wet and dry until its perfect
isitafox
Doing the same with my fourplay, is a nightmare! Hacksaw then file.
onza pro series guy
Alright so i'm thinking im gonna get to the runs with a hacksaw and file and then grinding the actual mounts seeing as I don't have a dremel, or is it worth asking around my mates to see if i can get my hands on a dremel?
isitafox
Just use a hacksaw on the mounts
